Meet our Massage Therapists

Heidi Overman, LMT
Owner / Massage Therapist

In general, Massage Therapists are trained in anatomy, physiology, pathology and kinesiology.  We study modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, Thai, MFT, trigger points, cupping, hot stone and many more.  Not all massage therapists are trained in all modalities.  We choose specialties and our natural touch define what type of massage therapist we become.  I am a Therapeutic Massage Therapist.
What does that mean to you?

As a therapeutic massage therapist, I am trained in many types of modalities. I am detailed oriented and work specific muscle groups, as well as using broader strokes for relaxation.  Working deep into muscle tissues when necessary and applying the lightest touch as your muscle responds, is part of finding what each body part needs and what modality it will respond to. I listen to your concerns and your muscles as I work.  Then we talk about your specific areas of issue, while developing an individual plan for you.

Miriam Watts, LMT

Miriam went to school here in Tucson about a year after completing high school. Massage has always been a part of her life, and after trying some other schooling she felt pushed to get licensed in Massage Therapy. After working for over a year, she found her soul wanting to stay in Tucson. She specializes in working energetically and intuitively, combining Swedish or Connective Tissue bodywork with her calming touch to release tension in the tissues. She loves her work and finds tangible joy in helping her clients, and working in different ways to always keep services effective and educational.

Signe Millard, LMT

I have been practicing massage therapy for 20 years, and prior to that I worked for 20 years as a registered nurse.  I am passionate about massage as a therapeutic modality that should be tailored to each client’s specific problems, needs and preferences.

I started massage school shortly after getting my first massage and was trained in traditional Swedish massage at the Gateway College of Massage Therapy in Nebraska.  I went on to teach massage at three different schools.  Throughout my career, I have received training in deeper techniques and John Barnes Myofacial Release which have reinforced my belief that massage can be amazingly therapeutic as well as relaxing.

I was taught that no two massages should be exactly the same, and I treat each client as a unique, evolving individual.  I find it most rewarding to see a client leave a massage relaxed, smiling, and feeling better!

Kerry Cummins Blank, Dipl ABT, LMT

Kerry is a licensed Massage Therapist certified in Asian Bodywork Therapies through NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). She is also an Intuitive Energy Healer and educator with 24 years of experience.
Her specialties are Shiatsu and Craniosacral Therapy. She also offers Chi Nei Tsang, Traditional Thai Massage, Thai Herbal Compress Massage, Cupping Therapy, Reiki Energy Healing and therapeutic aromatherapy. Kerry is owner of Catalina Aromatherapy, offering educational and fun hands on aromatherapy workshops and events at local venues including Tucson Botanical Gardens and Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.
She also facilitates retreats on mindfulness, self healing practices and living in harmony with the elements.

A native of Maryland, Kerry moved to Tucson in 2014 after experiencing the beauty of the
Sonoran desert and the Catalina Mountains.

While in massage school she began her studies of Reiki energy healing, aromatherapy and herbs. In 2003, Kerry became co-owner of Spa on The Avenue, a large upscale salon and day spa in Maryland. Through the years, Kerry has been fascinated by and fortunate to be able to study indigenous and energy based healing arts from around the world. While the foundation she works from is rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and Taoism, she has also studied some philosophy and healing practices from Indian Ayurveda, Thailand and the Q'ero Paqos (mystic shamans) of the high Andes of Peru. She looks for the common threads running through all traditions for deeper understanding. Some of her favorites studies are those of the elements in different cultures - how they manifest through us, and practices to bring them into balance.
